Singular Health scores 510(k) for 3D DICOM viewer software
ASX-listed medical technology firm Singular Health Group has received a 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration for 3Dicom MD.
The software-as-a-medical device allows medical practitioners to collaboratively visualise standard CT/MRI and PET scans in 2D and 3D in real time. It also has built-in voice and text chat and remote control functionality.
Following this FDA clearance, the company will begin preparing for the commercial launch of 3Dicom MD in the United States, taking a piece out of its $886 million medical imaging software market.
Cabrini Technology beefs up healthcare cybersecurity capability
Medical technology service provider Cabrini Technology has partnered with healthcare security platform Medigate by Claroty to add critical medical device cybersecurity to its service offerings.
According to a media release, this partnership will be able to “address device safety and security, threat detection and remediation, and device efficiency optimisation.”
“With the significant growth of connected medical devices, real-time utilisation data, in lieu of estimates or manual collection of data over time, adds greater accuracy to emergency preparedness and capital planning initiatives,” noted Cabrini Technology chief Tim Staker.
Cabrini has also signed on to Medigate’s Partner-Ready Operational Services, a programme that assists organisations in responsibly scaling their security operations.
ANDHealth to launch new digital health accelerator programme
Digital health commercialisation organisation ANDHealth has secured A$1.4 million ($900,000) in funding from LaunchVic to set up a new accelerator programme.
ANDHealth Activate is a nine-month curriculum-based programme that supports digital health companies in Victoria to become investment and enterprise-ready.
“Participants will benefit from a dedicated training and co-working facility and access to the expertise of national and international executives in residence,” said ANDHealth CEO and Managing Director Bronwyn Le Grice.
The programme will be absorbed by Victorian Connected Health Innovation and Commercialisation Centre, which ANDHealth established in September through A$2.4 million ($1.5 million) funding from the Victorian government.
