The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to announce the results for this year’s recruitment drive under the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) soon. A senior official of the Indian Railway informed indianexpress.com that the “RRB NTPC answer key and result are expected in a few days.” Meanwhile, the RRB NTPC answer key is expected by this week.

While the Railway Recruitment Boards are aiming to release the results by the end of September and the answer key soon, the exact dates have not been finalised yet. Once declared, the RRB NTPC results 2025 for the CBT 1 graduate-level examination will be made available on the official regional websites.

Candidates who qualify in CBT 1 will move on to the next stages of the selection process, which include CBT 2, followed by a skill test if applicable, document verification, and a medical examination.

The RRB NTPC graduate examination offers several posts such as Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, and others. The initial salary for successful candidates may range between Rs 25,500 and Rs 35,400, depending on the post.

It is important to note that CBT 1 is a qualifying stage and its marks are not counted in the final merit list. However, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying percentage to be shortlisted for CBT 2, which is considered the main examination phase as it tests higher-level knowledge for the respective roles.

For candidates in the unreserved category, the qualifying marks are 40 per cent, while it is 30 per cent for OBC and SC, and 25 per cent for ST candidates.

Along with the declaration of results, the category-wise cut-off marks will also be released. Only those securing scores equal to or above the cut-off for their category will proceed to the next stage. For CBT 2, around 15 times the number of available posts will be shortlisted based on CBT 1 performance.
