This category highlights a school/organization that personalises, effectively promotes and embeds inclusive practices that best prepare learners with educational needs for adulthood and making a success of their future lives.

CONGRATULATIONS to KLICKS AFRICA FOUNDATION who were declared the 2021 winner of this category.

ABOUT THE WINNER

KLICKS AFRICA FOUNDATION

After years of challenges and perseverance, which has brought some glimmer of hope to parents living with Autism and other intellectual disabilities (PWDs), Klicks Africa Foundation answers the biggest question lingering on the minds of people.

The question? What happens if special needs children don’t grow up around their parents? How will they cope with life and society at large?

For this reason, Klicks Africa Foundation comes in time to offer the necessary skills needed to face the challenges of raising children with Autism and other Intellectual Disabilities.

Klicks runs an intensive Vocational Training and Resource Centre for youths with special needs, to impact them with Self – help skills, guidance in building up their social skills as well as emotional support to them and their families.

Klicks Africa Foundation is a non–profit, a non – governmental organization that has been in existence since 2016, in support of persons with disabilities (PWDs) especially individuals or teens between the ages of 12 – 18 years with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs), Down Syndrome and other persons with intellectual disabilities.

Klicks also produce teaching and learning materials from locally available resources to support inclusive education.

Congratulations to the team for their hard work once again!
