Challenges that have disrupted the educational ecosystem in recent years have brought numerous learning institutions into contempt. It has remained this way because the ethos of founding a school encourages a competitive environment. However, the rise of technical improvements in many regions of the globe we live, demonstrates that there is more to be accomplished if schools collaborate.

Following this assumption, Africa Education Gateway’s unique Global Standard Schools Network (GLOSSNET) ensures that participants of its flagship interventions benefit immensely from the richness of information and resources a member school may possess. As part of the benefit packages, heads of school are given the opportunity to interact with other heads of schools within the GLOSSNET community in order to share ideas, resources, experience and school best practices.

Best practises in schools are successful activities, policies, and strategies that have been implemented to promote success in all aspects of the educational process. Kinderkids International School is a prime example of such a school in Accra-Ghana.

Mrs. Catherin Saade and Mrs. Laila Owusu, both directors of Kinderkids International School, an elementary school located in Gbawe – Accra, known for its best practices hosted Mrs. Blay Amihere the head of Green Olives Montessori school located near West Hills Mall at the formers school on the 17th June 2022 for an exchange on school’s best practices.

Mr Prosper Kpeli Mensah, the Principal School Relations Executive of Africa Education Gateway, also attended the meeting and contributed to the interaction, said that the discussions were mostly focused on performance-related issues. Mrs. Catherine Saade on her part, spoke extensively about her establishment, her aspirations over the previous few years, areas of growth she intended to create, and best classroom practises that are influencing how students respond to academic work.

The session concluded with a tour of Kinderkids International School and a pledge that both institutions will continue to collaborate through teacher exchange programmes, sports, and student visits, among other things.

Collaboration between schools will enhance teaching and learning amongst GLOSSNET schools and serve as a springboard for attaining global standard results which will benefit students in the long term, Mr. Kpeli Mensah remarked.

The GLOBAL STANDARD SCHOOLS NETWORK (GLOSSNET) is a network of schools within Africa Education Gateway with the purpose of raising standards via great and creative classroom practise. Facilitate staff continuing professional development and the exchange of pertinent resources so that members may continue to enhance standards in their schools.

To join GLOSSNET or for further information, call +233 2627 141 06 or come to their offices on the first floor of Yamoh Plaza, East Legon-Lagos Avenue.
